On Wednesday, police stated that Boebert (R-Colo.) was cleared of all allegations made by her ex-husband, Jayson Boebert, during an altercation they had at a restaurant on Saturday.

Reports by police stated that Jayson had accused Lauren of punching him in the face. He later retracted his statement.

They also stated that the restaurant did not have any surveillance footage and that no witnesses have come forward about the incident.

“Due to a lack of any evidence, the allegations of domestic violence against Rep. Lauren Boebert are unfounded and the investigation into Rep. Lauren Boebert is closed,” police said.

Along with other charges being investigated by county authorities, Jayson was taken into custody on Tuesday for third-degree criminal trespass, obstruction, and disorderly conduct related to the restaurant incident. However, records show that he was released that same day.

Although the details of what transpired at the Miner’s Claim restaurant are unknown, Lauren’s campaign issued a statement on Sunday in which she claimed that she “didn’t punch Jayson in the face and no one was arrested.”

“I will be consulting with my lawyer about the false claims he made against me and evaluate all of my legal options,” she continued.

Jayson stated that he did not want to press charges.

“I don’t want nothing to happen,” Jayson Boebert said. “Her and I were working through a difficult conversation.”

After being charged with disruptive behavior in September, Lauren was led out of a Denver theater during a production of the musical Beetlejuice.

She apologized for the incident and cited her “difficult divorce” as the cause of her behavior.
