Singer and songwriter Melissa Viviane Jefferson, better known as Lizzo, has been dropped from being considered as a performer at the 2024 Super Bowl halftime show, amid pending lawsuits from her former employees.

The award-winning singer has been accused by her former dancers Crystal Williams, Noelle Rodriguez, and Arianna Davis of sexual harassment, fat-shaming, and an overall toxic work environment.
However, Lizzo has adamantly claimed these allegations are all false.
A National Football League (NFL) insider told the Daily Mail outlet, that the lawsuits have prompted the league to drop her from entertainment consideration altogether.
“Talks of Lizzo being a part of the halftime festivities, or performing the National Anthem, are dead now that she is surrounded by scandal, “as her team is “desperately trying to come up with a strategy to save her sinking ship.”
Additionally, the dancers who sued Lizzo now claim six more accusers have come forward in relation to the toxic work environment.
Ron Zambrano, the attorney representing Lizzo’s former dancers, commented on the artist’s consistent denial of wrongdoing, “Lizzo has failed her own brand and has let down her fans. Her denial of this reprehensible behavior only adds to our clients’ emotional distress.”
