Louisiana Sen. John Kennedy is inarguably the most witty person in the U.S. Senate.<\/p>\n

With a folksy quip or quotation always at the ready, Kennedy<\/a> can effortlessly dismantle an opponent\u2019s argument with his deadpan delivery while keeping the whole room in stitches.<\/p>\n

And the reason why his delivery hits so well is that he makes sense \u2014 the common kind, which has become almost extinct in these woke times.<\/p>\n

For example, discussing some of his Democratic colleagues who support transgender athletes<\/a> in women\u2019s sports on Fox News\u2019<\/a>\u00a0\u201cThe Story,\u201d Kennedy once said, \u201cOne of my Democratic colleague\u2019s witnesses testified that there are three biological sexes and an infinite number of genders. I\u2019ve heard better answers on the dating game.\u201d<\/p>\n

In one of his 2022 campaign ads<\/a>, Kennedy asked \u201csomeone\u201d to \u201cplease tell the commander-in-chief<\/a> that neither my car nor the greatest economy in all of human history runs on fairy dust and unicorn urine.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, the Louisiana<\/a> senator shredded a climate change \u201cexpert\u201d with his poker-faced line of questioning.<\/p>\n

Democrats invited Olympic<\/a> skier Gus Schumacher to testify<\/a> on \u201cThe Nature of Climate Costs,\u201d based on the \u201cprofound alterations to our natural landscape\u201d he had witnessed firsthand in his entire 23 years of life.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, you said we need to reduce carbon dioxide emissions,\u201d Kennedy said, \u201cI\u2019d like to know first if you know what it is.\u201d<\/p>\n
The excruciating interrogation persisted, laying bare the supposed climate change expert\u2019s appalling ignorance, yet Kennedy maintained his composure, his expression entirely devoid of mirth.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Dr. Joao Gomes, the economist sitting next to Schumacher, seemed to have a hard time keeping a straight face.<\/p>\n

The entire exchange demonstrates the desperation of the Democratic senators, who seem to be scraping the bottom of the barrel in their attempt to prove that we need to spend untold trillions to save endangered \u201coutdoor recreation.\u201d<\/p>\n
The 23-year-old athlete\u2019s testimony was the definition of a \u201cChicken Little\u201d story, as he testified about the dramatic effects of climate change because he had observed less than \u201coptimal skiing conditions.\u201d<\/p>\n
Trotting out someone as monumentally uninformed on the issue as Schumacher was like serving up raw meat to an old, very polite yet deadly grizzly.<\/p>\n\n
