Just one day after it was revealed that a left-wing journalist had been charged with possessing and distributing child pornography, a BuzzFeed article from 2018 about the journalist was removed from their website.

In the piece, he revealed his homosexual orientation to a class of young students.

The former top editor of the left-leaning news outlet The Recount, Slade Sohmer, 44, was released on $100,000 bond on Monday after being accused in a Massachusetts court of having and sharing “hundreds of child pornography images and videos.”

BuzzFeed News published a story in May 2018 that was based on a popular social media thread that Sohmer uploaded on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

Since then, Sohmer’s X account has been deleted.

The piece was headed “People Are Touched By This Writer’s Conversation With A Bunch of Fourth Graders,” and it can still be found on the Wayback Machine internet archive.

“Kids are books filled with blank pages,” the subtitle said.

At the time, 38-year-old Sohmer told the tale of a visit he made to his mother’s fourth-grade class.

According to her social media page, Susan Sohmer, the mother of the perpetrator, was employed at New Hyde Park Road School on Long Island.

Slade Sohmer said on social media on May 11th, 2018, that he had received an invitation to attend his mother’s fourth-grade classroom in honor of the “ideal convergence of Mother’s Day and Teacher Appreciation Week.”

He reported that he discussed writing with the kids.

“Outside of that, I don’t have much in common with 10-year-olds, so I was nervous,” he said in the article.

Sohmer continued, writing that the fourth-grade students were “PSYCHED” that a “new adult … wants to talk to them.”

Then, Sohmer remembered the “personal questions” he was frequently asked, such as “What’s the happiest moment in your life?” “Are you dating someone?” “Who do you live with?” and “Do you have a wife or children?”

Sohmer then said his “face reddened” and “the air flew out of the room for a split second.” However, the pedophilic writer then wrote that “none of these precocious f–kers, like, give a s–t.”

According to court records that the Berkshire Eagle referenced earlier this week, Sohmer’s phone had disturbing video footage of boys—possibly as young as three years old—being raped and coerced into performing sex acts by adults.

Marianne Shelvey, assistant district attorney, said that this is one of the most “egregious” cases of its type that she has encountered.

In the event that Sohmer is found guilty, he will be sentenced to a mandatory minimum of ten years for disseminating child pornography and an extra five years in state prison for possessing it.
