As the five-day preliminary hearing against Tyler Robinson, the man charged with murdering Charlie Kirk, comes to an end, it has been revealed that District Judge Tony Graf won’t come to a decision on whether or not there is enough probable cause to send the case to a full murder trial for a few weeks.
Graf, after sifting through evidence presented in the preliminary hearing by the state and Robinson’s defense team, will issue his final ruling on September 1st.
Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty against Robinson. The 23-year-old man has yet to enter a plea despite revealing to his roommate, Lance Twiggs, via text, handwritten note, and in person that he was the one to kill Kirk at Utah Valley University (UVU) on September 10, 2025.
