Twitter Chief Executive Officer, Elon Musk, announced that remote working will no longer be an option for Twitter employees due to economic slowdown and the goal of eradicating fake accounts.

In an email this week, Musk highlighted new company policies. One of those new policies includes requiring employees to work at least 40 hours from the Twitter office. He also emphasized that half of Twitter’s revenue must come from subscription accounts.

Musk made these company changes after the dismissal of Twitter executives, which included the resignation of Chief Information and Security Officer Lea Kissner.

Kissner’s tweet implied her frustration with the Musk takeover.

Before Musk bought Twitter, the organization adopted a ‘work-from-anywhere’ policy.

The billionaire has affirmed that he is against remote work and would only grant the option in extenuating circumstances.

Musk has been at the helm of Twitter for nearly two weeks. It was recently announced that he plans to forego the legacy blue verification feature.
