Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake says that when she wins, the first thing she will do is restore election integrity in the state.

“I want you to know that we are gonna monitor the ballots,” Lake said. “We gotta trust them that we have right now.”

As of Wednesday morning, the race between Lake and her Democrat opponent Katie Hobbs is too close to call.

When peaking to her supporters Tuesday night, Lake expressed optimism that the remaining vote dumps in the state, which include Maricopa County, would push her across the finish line.

“God did not put us in this fight because it was gonna be easy,” Lake said. “Not one thing we’ve gone through has been easy.”

Moving forward, Lake says her campaign will be patient and she will take the victory when it comes.
