Stargazers will have the chance to view a total lunar eclipse on November 8th.
On Tuesday, Americans will be able to catch a glimpse of the total lunar eclipse. This occurs when the earth casts a complete shadow over the moon, which gives off a red-colored “blood moon.”
The red hue is due to when the sunlight gets scattered and refracted by the earth’s atmosphere.
Prospective watchers can view the event from 5:17 am to 6:42 am Eastern Standard Time.
The next total lunar eclipse over the United States will not happen again until 2025.
